Sowing in Faith
September 27, 2018
We have been reminded of the time that Isaac was living in a time of famine: However by faith,
Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold;and the LORD blessed him (Genesis 26:12).
We are all living in a time of this world’s economic famine. However, we live in God’s Kingdom economy and we have a new and better covenant than Isaac.
Joyce and I have taken money as “seed to sow” out of our savings. We have named that seed believing for God’s supernatural provision. We have blessed it as God blessed us all in creation by saying: “Be fruitful, multiply and replenish!”
Perhaps, you like us, are still waiting for the seed to come forth into a harvest. We were reminded of the time we were visiting King Tut’s treasures in the museum in Cairo, Egypt. They had planted the seed that was buried with King Tut over three thousand years before. They watered it and it grew!
Joyce and I have sowed in time of famine. We have watered the seed with declarations of faith. Now we are waiting in expectancy for the harvest. We are saying those same, faith-filled declarations for each of you, our faithful partners.
